Many thanks were given in regular form, but Lion Cal expressed his thanks through a Cowboy poem that he wrote.

The Christmas tree lot location will be determined by the 1st meeting in December or it will be placed back at the Acton Ague Dulce news lot.  Only about 80 trees were ordered.  It was mentioned by Lion Sondra that rather than just give a tree away we should be given the opportunity to sponsor a tree donation. Lion John mentioned that there are at least 2 families that he knows of that although they have purchased in the past they just can't afford one this year.   Wreaths have also been ordered. Lion John said he thought a good project for kids could be assembling branches at the lot from the breakage to make wreaths.  Trees come around the 10th.

Lion Virginia has a get together planned for Dec 3rd.  It is the production of "A Christmas Carl" put on locally at 7:30.

Lion Sandy said that for our December speaker meeting we will have Kathy Lively and the Meadowlark singers. Then there will be trivia by PDG Bill and a Christmas passage by Lion Dan Horner.

PDG Bill mentioned Rose parade  free reception on the 29th for International President Tam.  RSVP by 23rd.  Also on the first all presidents to meet with the International President.  Parade and Game will be held on the Monday the 2nd, as it was an agreement, years ago to not do either on Sunday.  For the Rose Parade- people from several countries, are being asked to wear their native costumes and march along side the float.

PDG Bill also mentioned putting list together of potential Lions.  Lion Sandy added that a great way to introduce them was an invite to a speaker meeting.  PDG Bill would like a friendship dinner to be scheduled for March.

IPDG Marcia mentioned that several people to whom she and PDG Bill gave brochures at trunk or treat didn't even know that we have a local Lions club.  Some people need to hear about it and be invited several times.

Lion John mentioned that Lion Doc said that the Lions Club sign at the Welcome to Acton sign needs repaired, or better yet, replaced.  PDG Bill offered to help Lion John with the replacement.

PDG Bill mentioned that he has several plastic shoe boxes that could be cleaned up for putting around different locations in town for the collections of eye glasses.

White cane will happen after the first of the year.

Tree decorating will happen based on the Parks schedule.  Only lights will be hung on all trees.

Respectively submitted
