The Meeting was held at the home of Club President Virgnia Wedding beginning at 7.30 pm. 

Club Treasurer Cari McLane reported on the financial state of the Club.  One scholarship has been paid; there are four others to pay.   Audits for 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 have been completed and found to be correct.  Membership letters will be handed out at the meeting and mailed to those not in attendance.

Club Secretary Joan Wayland reported on the Club Food Committee, who includes Lion Sandy Matson.  There will be a picnic at the Carousel Ranch August 6 featuring home fried chicken, potato salad, bean salad, and watermelon.  The theme for August 20 will be Fiesta Bar with a taco bar and trimmings.  Cake for birthdays and an anniversary will be dessert. 

Other events include the District Governor's visit September 3, Business Appreciation Night September 17, and Friendship Dinner November 5.

Club Newsletter Editor Sondra Tersigni is busy working on the Newsletter, "Acton Pride", and has completed an Acton Lions Club blog.  Lion Doc Ellis is working on the Club website.

The Carousal Ranch is looking for bartenders for their August 23 fundraiser.  The murder mystery fund raiser will be Pirates of the Channel Islands on February 14, 2009.
